What TrueScale is

TrueScale is a free comparison tool for HiFi loudspeakers. Every speaker is drawn to true physical scale, so you can see how a floorstander or bookshelf will actually look next to another model — or next to a person, a banknote or an LP for reference. Alongside the visuals, each model carries a full spec sheet you can line up four at a time.

Why it exists

Speaker photos online are all cropped and scaled differently, so it's nearly impossible to picture how big something really is from a product shot. TrueScale fixes that by rendering every cabinet from its official dimensions at one shared scale. It began as a hobby project by a single HiFi enthusiast and grew into a catalog of hundreds of models.

How the catalog is built

Every entry is compiled by hand from the manufacturer's own spec sheet — dimensions, drivers, frequency response, sensitivity, impedance and price — and cross-checked against the official product page. The short descriptions are written in-house, not copied from marketing material, and each image is processed so the speaker renders at its true width and height on a common baseline.

Independent by design

TrueScale takes no payment to add, remove, reorder or favour any product. The HiFi Ladder ranking, the suggested comparisons and the spec tables are driven purely by the data. Some outbound "Where to buy" links may earn a small commission, but that never influences anything in the catalog — see the affiliate disclosure for the full detail.
