Brand
United States· Founded in 2013
American maker founded on Long Island in 2013 by Michael Levy, who had helped bring CD, DVD, HDTV and surround sound to market and had run a speaker company once before, in 1980. Every model is loaded with Alta's XTL — an extended transmission line that tunes the cabinet rather than simply damping it, and is the reason a 12.7 kg standmount reaches 32 Hz. Two ranges: the Statement series from the Alyssa up to the Adam, and the Reference series, which runs to a 2.18-metre, 220 kg flagship with eleven drivers and its own electronic crossover in the box. Built in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
The catalog ranges from the Alyssa at 38.1 cm up to the Reference Tower at 218.4 cm — compare any two side by side at true scale.
