A British digital-audio pioneer founded in 1977 by Bob Stuart and Allen Boothroyd, based near Huntingdon. Meridian built the first audiophile DSP loudspeakers and co-developed MQA; its DSP models are fully active, all-digital designs with per-driver amplification, onboard DACs and room-correcting signal processing, taking a digital feed straight in. The range runs from the compact DSP3200 to the six-woofer DSP8000 XE and the extreme DSP9 flagship.
