Sweden· Founded in 1980
A one-man workshop on Tjörn, an island in the Swedish archipelago, where Reidar Persson has been building loudspeakers since 1980 — his first, the Renässans, arrived that year. The house style is unfashionable on purpose: soft driver suspensions so the cones respond to small signals rather than only waking up when pushed, small baffles faced in absorbing felt, hand-built point-to-point crossovers, and cabinets built to be silent rather than pretty. Persson publishes almost nothing — the company's own site carries no specifications at all — and offers upgrade paths for speakers he sold decades ago.
The catalog ranges from the Ratio Auream at 32.0 cm up to the Jussi at 103.0 cm — compare any two side by side at true scale.
