A Berlin microphone house founded in 1928 by Georg Neumann, whose U 47 and U 87 became the studio standard — and, since 2010, a loudspeaker maker too. That year Sennheiser folded the monitor line of its sister company Klein + Hummel into Neumann, which is what the “KH” still stands for. The range runs from the 4-inch KH 80 DSP to the 10-inch, tri-amplified KH 420 midfield, all self-powered, all with the same drivers Neumann designs in-house, and all alignable to the room with the MA 1 measurement system.
