Spanish maker run by Miguel Lorenzo Castro and Josep M. Gallart, two people with more than twenty years between them designing speakers for other brands, distributing hi-fi and publishing a magazine about it. The cabinets are the argument: walls 62 mm thick in phenolic laminated wood with an elastomer layer constrained inside them, cut on 5-axis CNC, veneered by a fourth-generation craftsman from a family that has done this since 1888. Panzerholz — beech compressed until it behaves like metal — replaces the metal: it holds the drivers, so there are no screws through the baffle, and it forms the connector nuts and the discs under the feet. Reflex ports are turned by hand from tonewood. Crossovers are hand-soldered with no circuit board, on Duelund, Jupiter, Mundorf and Pathaudio parts, feeding paper cones, alnico motors and beryllium compression drivers.
