Japanese audio brand launched by Matsushita (Panasonic) in 1965, famous since the 1972 SL-1200 turntable that became the de facto DJ standard worldwide. Relaunched in 2014 with a Grand Class HiFi range: passive coaxial speakers based on the Advanced Phase Precision driver, Class-D digital amplifiers and modernised direct-drive turntables — engineered at Panasonic's R&D site in Osaka.
