A Japanese giant founded in 1887 as a reed-organ maker, and still the only company that builds both concert grand pianos and loudspeakers. Yamaha's NS line runs from the affordable NS-333/555/777 home towers to the flagship NS-5000, whose tweeter, midrange and woofer are all formed from Zylon — a fibre stiffer than aramid that Yamaha spent years learning to shape. The newer NS-2000A, NS-800A and NS-600A carry that thinking down the range, alongside the all-in-one wireless NX-70A.
