Uruguay

Uruguay has no loudspeaker industry in the mass-production sense, and the local market is served overwhelmingly by imports. What exists domestically is workshop scale: individual builders making cabinets to order, usually with bought-in drive units, for a small and well-informed audiophile community concentrated in Montevideo. It is the pattern common across the region — the engineering knowledge is present, the manufacturing volume never was, and what gets built locally is built one pair at a time.
