The small active Buchardt, and the one built around a single idea: two 5-inch woofers, one facing forward and one facing backward, each in its own sealed chamber, so the DSP can run them against each other. With the cardioid Mastertuning loaded the rear driver cancels output in the upper bass and lower midrange — the band where a normal speaker sprays sound in every direction and hands the wall behind it control of the midrange. That is what makes a 31-centimetre box usable pushed against a wall, inside a cabinet, or as a centre channel lying on its side. 100 + 50 + 50 watts of PowerDAC amplification per speaker, XLR in or WiSA, 25 Hz at ±1.5 dB on the stock tuning and 98 dB before the limiter steps in. No preamp inside: you bring the streamer. €2,750 a pair, or €1,450 for a single if you are building a centre or a surround set.
