Product description
The third generation of the BM5, and the point where the classic BM range picked up a DSP. The crossover at 1.9 kHz is digital, which is what lets this one carry position and filter switches the older analogue BMs do not have, and the top end reaches 24 kHz against their 21. Smaller and lighter than the BM6A beside it — 7.7 kg, 32 cm tall — with 50 watts a side rather than 100, RCA as well as XLR, and standby draw down at 0.3 W. Rear-ported, 42 Hz. Note on the image: the hero here is this speaker's own front render rather than the press photograph supplied, which is labelled as the BM5 Compact mkIII, a different and smaller model.
