The LYD 8 turned on its side and given a dedicated midrange, which changes it more than the shared cabinet suggests: a 4-inch MSP cone takes over from 460 Hz to 5.5 kHz, so the 8-inch woofer stops doing midrange work and the speaker reaches 50 Hz instead of 55. Horizontal by design, which is why it ships as a mirrored left and right rather than a pair of identical boxes — the tweeter sits to the inside on each. 180 watts across three class-D channels, the range's DSP with Bass Extension, Position and Sound Balance, 12 kg. $1,199 each.
