The smallest LYD, and the one where the crossover point tells the story: 5.2 kHz, far higher than the rest of the range, because a 5-inch cone is being asked to carry almost everything. 26 cm tall, 5.7 kg, 60 Hz at the bottom. Like every LYD it has DSP doing three jobs — Bass Extension shifts the low corner by 10 Hz either way, Position retunes for free-standing or within 50 cm of a wall, and Sound Balance tilts the overall response — which is what makes a monitor this small usable in the kind of room it tends to end up in. Class D, 50 watts a side, XLR and RCA. $499 each.
