The speaker that opened Estelon's A Series and brought the shape down to a price that is merely expensive rather than absurd. The cabinet is thermoformed mineral-filled composite instead of cast marble, which is how a 1.37 m tower ends up at 34 kg against the XB's 69, and the drivers come from FaitalPro, SB Acoustics and Scan-Speak rather than Accuton. Three ways, sealed, 37 Hz, with two 132 mm Satori mid-woofers flanking the tweeter over a 250 mm paper woofer. The catch is the load: 4 ohms nominal and 2.0 at 58 Hz, which is the toughest impedance in the range on the cheapest speaker in it. 88 dB. $30,900 a pair.
