XC Diamond Mk II

A two-way driver module on a pillar of its own, which is how Estelon gets a stand-mount to stand 1.26 m tall and weigh 49 kg: the stand is part of the speaker, not an accessory, and it raises the pair of 173 mm Accuton ceramic mid-woofers to ear height around a diamond tweeter. Second-order crossover at 1.9 kHz, nothing below it — 45 Hz is where it stops, so this is the Estelon that expects a subwoofer or a small room. It is also the easy load of the range: 8 ohms, never below 4.9, and 91 dB from 20 watts. Estelon calls it bass reflex but does not say where the port fires, and neither its manual nor its photographs show it, so no direction is recorded here. Response quoted to the 33 kHz Estelon calls linear. $60,720 a pair.
