Product description
The one Estelon that does not use Accuton: a SEAS aluminium woofer, a Scan-Speak Revelator sliced-paper mid and a Scan-Speak Illuminator beryllium dome, in an asymmetric Y-shaped cabinet that gives the model its name. It is also sealed rather than ported, which for a 1.26 m speaker weighing 45 kg means 30 Hz instead of the low twenties — the trade is the tighter, more placement-tolerant bass a closed box gives you. Crossed at 80 Hz and 2 kHz on transformer-core and OFC coils with Mundorf Silver-Gold-Oil capacitors. 6 ohms, 3.0 minimum, 86 dB. $40,250 a pair.
