Product description
The larger of Gato's two FM floorstanders and the only loudspeaker in the range the company still prices openly: €7,195 a pair, shipped worldwide with duties paid. Three ways in a curved, laminated FusedMass cabinet — a 38 mm ring-radiator tweeter, a 150 mm mineral-cone midrange and two 170 mm mineral-cone woofers, vented by two ports on the back — and the drivers are Gato's own, developed with Danish transducer engineers rather than bought off a catalogue. The feature worth knowing about is on the rear panel: a set of connectors that lets you retune the crossover by hand, adjusting the balance to the room or the amplifier without inserting anything lossy in the signal path. The whole FM range was reworked in 2021 with Jantzen crossover parts, new binding posts and a new cabinet supplier. 32 Hz, 88 dB, 4 ohms, 40 kg.
