Two metres of superformed aluminium, shaped by Ross Lovegrove and limited to a hundred pairs. Each cabinet is a single sheet of aluminium heated and blown into shape — the process comes from aerospace rather than furniture, and it is what allows a wall this curved with no join and no bracing to be quiet. Four ways and eight drivers: a Uni-Q array with a 25 mm vented aluminium dome inside a 125 mm Li-Mg-Al/LCP midrange, a 250 mm low-mid below it, and six more 250 mm bass drivers, four facing forward and two facing back. Closed box throughout, with KEF's ACE filling — activated carbon that makes the air inside behave as though the cabinet were larger — which is how a sealed enclosure reaches 25 Hz within ±3 dB and 20 Hz at −6 dB. First handover at 120 Hz, then 300 Hz and 2.3 kHz. 90 dB into a 4-ohm load, 118 dB maximum, 115 kg a side. The design dates from 2007 and KEF has kept it in the range since.
