Model Four

KLH's smallest three-way, and a straight recombination of the two models either side of it: the Model Five's 4-inch midrange and 25 mm aluminium dome over the Model Three's 8-inch woofer. What it buys is the midrange driver itself — most speakers this size make the woofer cover voices as well as bass, and a dedicated 102 mm cone between 380 Hz and 2.5 kHz is the compromise this one refuses. The cabinet is 21 cm deep, the shallowest in the range, against a 33 cm baffle: KLH builds wide and flat where most towers are narrow and deep. Sealed, like everything they make, so it reaches 46 Hz rather than further, and takes 30 to 150 watts.
