Product description
The Monitor Reference 2A's electronics and connection list moved into a floorstander: 2 × 60 W of Class D in the right-hand cabinet, driving itself and a passive twin. The layout is 2.5-way — two 170 mm coated-paper cones under a 25 mm dome, the lower one rolling off early to reinforce the bass rather than duplicate the midrange — which takes the bottom end to 28 Hz from a tower only 205 mm wide. Rear Airflex port, crossover at 3.2 kHz. HDMI ARC, optical, Bluetooth 5.0 aptX, a 3.5 mm jack and an RCA pair with a switchable MM phono stage, all on the back of the active speaker. Matt-black baffle, black textured veneer.
