The eighth generation of a name Paradigm has used since the 1980s, and the cheapest speaker they make: a 140 mm mineral-filled polypropylene mid-bass and the same 25 mm X-PAL dome the towers get, crossed once at 2.3 kHz in a 32 cm rear-ported box. It launched at $298 a pair, a hundred dollars below the Atom it replaced. 86 dB anechoic and a 50-watt ceiling put a firm limit on how loud it goes, and 61 Hz within ±3 dB is where a cabinet this size stops — but the tweeter and its phase-aligning lens are the ones from the rest of the line, not a cheaper part.
