The Essence

The smallest thing Lorenzo makes and the first of its Bravo Collection: a 7.5-inch woven carbon cone and a 19 mm soft dome in a 21 mm phenolic plywood box, venting forward through a port turned by hand from tonewood. The crossover does not live in the speaker at all — it sits inside the matching stand, hand-soldered with no circuit board on Duelund, Mundorf, Jantzen and Pathaudio parts, which is why the stand is not optional. On it the speaker stands 113 cm and the pair weighs 25 kg a side. Panzerholz appears again at the structural points, and the veneer is the same fourth-generation work as the towers. 88.5 dB into 8 ohms, 33 Hz, €39,500 a pair including tax. The height quoted here is the cabinet alone, which Lorenzo does not publish: it was measured off the factory photograph of the pair on their stands and cross-checked against the front view, two readings that agree to within a centimetre.
